Alana Blanchard and something to think about!

And here we goo!
Check out this latest video clip from surfer girl Alana Blanchard. Actually you can check all the previous once as well. And after you have enjoyed the view of all nice beaches, perfect waves and Alana herself of course you can think a bit deeper.

University and Rowing Club made me think about many things I have never thought about. For example, diversity and inclusion. There are a lot of myths about sports and especially extreme and water sports. For example, that you have to have a lot of power, of course to be fully able bodied and stuff. Girls are especially worried about the need to get really muscular.
In this video of Alana Blanchard you can see all these myths being busted.
As you can see she has a nice, strong but lean body and she is one of the best female surfers of the planet. Than take a look at her best friend Bethany Hamilton even though she have lost her arm after a shark attack she continues on surfing and she definitely does that hundred times better than I will be able to in the next 5 years.
If you look around you will see so many different people windsurfing, surfing or doing other sports when at the first look at loot of people say that it is impossible. Take a look at few examples:

Jim Morris 77 year young bodybuilder

Tibor Ferenczy 73 year young windsurfer (106th place in World Championship)
Bethany Hamilton

Unknown windsurfer

Thus, what I wanted to say to you that no mater what gender, age or physical ability you are you can still do any sport and enjoy it. Watersports especialy!
If you want to know more about diversity and inclusion in sports make sure you check out Sport Allies facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/sportallies2014?fref=ts
