Lithuanian Formula Championship Day 2, Kintai

Hi again!

So, the forecast for the second day was a bit lighter but we still expected to have a great racing action and atmosphere to pop in along the racing area.

Actually, when we first got on to the skippers meeting the wind was nearly the same as the first day - about 6-7m/s. Everyone was enthusiastic and was looking forward to upcoming races. Unfortunately, just after we wished for a favorable winds it dropped and in a few moments we had a very light formula conditions with the wind reaching up to 4-5m/s.

Anyway, the judges decided to give it a try. So, we took our biggest sails, biggest fins and head for the choppy water of the Curonian Bay.

FW JYM Worlds Day 4

Today was a bad day. That's why I M not in the mood of writing long sentences and joking.
At first we waited for a few hours. Than masters were sent out for one race in 30 knots. After this race jury boat broke down. It seemed that the day is over, so me and a few other guys went out for testing.
But when we came back, we found RC setting the course.
I was on 9,6, the sail that I still did not got used to. I was sailing bad and finished in shameful 7th place - only the fact that Jaciek got OCS helped me to get into 6th place.
For second race most of the Top guys took 11 sails, but I just tuned my 9,6 a bit differently. I was going better, but that was just enough for 5th place. It was a very bad day for me, I am still very very bad at higher winds and I am willing to improve this.
Now I tumbled down to 4th place, but I have the same amount of points as 5th place.
Tomorrow is the last day, but I only have chance to go back for the third place. I hope I will use it.

FW JYM Worlds Day 4

According to RC yesterday the wind was 30-35 knots when everyone went in and struggled to get to tje start. Soon after the race was cancelled it increased up to 40-45 knots. According to weather station average wind was at 20-25 knots at the time we were on water with gust up to 41 knots. Later on the day gusts reached 46 knots.
Finnally I understood why yesterday I was overpowered.

By the way - at the moment conditions are the same as yesterday. We will have skippers meeting  in one hour.
