The look back to 2011: Part 2

In the last post I've overviewed my FW sailing results. In this post I will talk a bit about Slalom and also compare my results to my pre-season forecasts.

The last season I concentrated on FW rather than on slalom. I've participated just in 4 local Slalom and 1 international competitions and I didn't spend much time training on it either. Nevertheless, I showed pretty good results, especially in light wind.

The look back to 2011: FW Part 1

The 2011 passed by and locking back through I can say that it was a good year. I participated in more than 12 FW competitions just in 6 months - 2 competitions a moth average. To take into account that 3 of the competitions have lasted for a week, I can say that it was pretty exhausting. Especially in the end of August when I had 3 weeks non-stop competition marathon.

I have learned a lot during the last season. I made some important conclusions:

WWEC

This year the winter was late. It came in Lithuania only in the second part of January. And then began the real winter I mean that it was from -15 to -30 degree in all Lithuania for more than a week. The lakes were covered by ice in a few days and Winter Windsurfing season began.
As you all know windsurfers from Kaunas are very competitive and we can't just go freeriding we need some competition. Thus with the initiative of Giedrius LTU 11 and the help of Winter Windsurfing a race was organized. Winter Windsurfing European Cup.

Looking back on 2011 and goals for 2012

So, one more year passed and carried away a vast deal of emotions and experiences with it self. There was everything, from splendid and dazzling days to ones that it would have been better to stay at home in a warm sofa. Anyway, by looking back I can notice one thing – a lot of experience gained, a lot of improvements made and a lot of things done. That is why I can truly say that 2011 year was just outstanding.
